Condemn Jaganmohan Reddy’s Politics on Dead Bodies
Withdraw Cases against Prof.Kodandram
Civil Liberties Monitoring Committee condemns in its strong possible words the firing on public by the gunmen, Konda Murali and their private militia at Mahbubabad of Warangal district, in connection of Jaganmohan Reddy’s so-called condolence tour for the people died after his father’s death. This committee strongly feels that Jaganmohan Reddy is playing politics on the dead bodies of the people and did not even spare his fathers death for the sake of politics to gain the power. If at all Jaganmohan Reddy is so serious and sincere towards the people who died, he would have gone silently without doing all kinds of show put up and drama met those people and condoled them.
Everyone has the right to move freely anywhere in the country, express their views but it seems that the intention of Jaganmohan Reddy is not fair. One can imagine this with his moving around with his private army of three hundred people in big vehicles with sophisticated weapons and mobilizing thousands of people.
In the Democracy, people also have right to protest against anything and anyone. Therefore, in the present situation where people’s sentiments are very high in connection with Telangana, under these circumstances Jaganmohan Reddy is playing the role of anti Telangana. People strongly feel that his father was hurdle for the formation of Telangana state and now his son is following the same path, therefore on his visit people protested. According to the information received, to suppress the protest of Telangana people, Jaganmohan Reddy’s followers resorted to violence, and Konda Murali and Surekha’s gunmen and their private bodyguards opened fire on the people who were protesting. Opening fire on stone pelting protestors who were resisting is itself not justifiable.
This committee strongly feels that for this whole violence Jaganmohan Reddy is responsible because he violated all the rules and norms inspite of his party’s directions not to go on tour, even his own party’s peoples representatives (MLA & MP) requested him not to visit Telangana. This clearly reflects his adamant behaviour and his factionist political behaviour. This committee condemns the soft corner attitude of government towards Jaganmohan Reddy and Konda Surekha. State government did not take any precautionary measures inspite of intelligence reports and allowed Jaganmohan Reddy to visit the Warangal district. Here the main culprit is Jaganmohan Reddy who is responsible for the whole violence and the state government did not register any case against Jaganmohan Reddy. Instead the government registered the cases against the Telangana leaders who were not part of the protest programme. It is the conspiracy of Seema Andhra political leaders to suppress the Telangana political leaders.
Demands:
1. This committee demands the government to conduct judicial enquiry on Jagan’s visit and firing on people.
2. Register the cases against Jaganmohan Reddy who became the main cause of the whole violence, disturbance and loss of crores of public property.
3. Withdraw the cases against Prof. Kodandram, Telangana leaders and innocent people.
4. Register the cases against Konda Murali and Konda Surekha and their gunmen.

| Women are supposed to be very calm generally: but women feel just as men feel...they suffer from too rigid a restraint, too absolute a stagnation, precisely as men would suffer...It is thoughtless to condemn them, or laugh at them, if they seek to do more or learn more than custom has pronounced necessary for their sex.
