To monitor, document, advocate and educate about civil rights and rights abuses by law enforcement and other Government and non Government agencies in India. The aim of CLMC,is to encourage public awareness of constitutional rights and encourage involvement of the whole community in preserving and protecting them. In pursuit of this vision, CLMC's mission is to undertake research and action focused on preventing and ending grave abuses of the rights to physical and mental integrity, freedom of conscience and expression, and freedom from discrimination, within the context of its work to promote all human rights.

CLMC is a civil liberties organization like any other Human rights and civil rights organizations working against the human rights violations of the general public and minority community in particular
